Taylor Katcher

Technology and social media have refined me into 140 characters or less of geek culture, graphic design, and mass communication skills. And yes, you can tweet that.

After graduating from the Zimmerman Advertising Program at the University of South Florida, I began my career as a Media Coordinator at PP+K. There I worked with great clients like Checkers/Rally's, Metropolitan Ministries, and the YMCA. I was then hired by David Conner + Associates (DC+A) to develop the firm’s emphasis on internet based project communication, as well as the firm-wide business development and marketing. At DC+A I used my communication skills to reach clients through social media and networking, while assisting in the creation of graphics and packaging with my proficiency of the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. I also acted as the webmaster and blogger on the firm's website, in addition to preparing all outbound marketing materials and proposals.

In order to delve into the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry for my role at DC+A, I joined the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). In July, I joined the Board of Directors as the Social Media Chair, where I assist the Director of Communications in disseminating the various events and updates for the organization through our social channels. I am also in charge of creating social graphics and managing the SMPS Twitter and Facebook accounts. As a board member, I  also volunteered to join the Re-Imaging Task Force for the organization, working to brand our chapter and gain new members.

In my free time I act as CCO and co-creator of CBxCasts, a pop media website and parent company to The Cardboard Box Podcast (CBx), Comic Chat with Gat (CCwG) YouTube Show, and the Reel Retro Podcast. As the co-host of both the CBx and CCwG, I manage social media, create show graphics as well as social channel graphics, edit audio/video, and help with the general goings-on on the back end of the network.
